Strong Recruitment Group is currently recruiting a CAD Technician to join their clients team on a permanent basis located in Leeds.
Company Overview:
You would be working for a dynamic and rapidly expanding company in the manufacturing/façade sector, they are looking for an individual who is eager to contribute to a collaborative environment and work on innovative and technically complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret complex technical documentation to quickly grasp tasks, identifying missing or conflicting information.
- Utilize product knowledge, training and customer input to carry out the PDR, developing technically compliant, cost-optimized solutions within set response times.
- Based on PDR proposals, customer feedback, and technical training, carry out the Concept Design Review (CDR)/CAD tasks to generate solutions that meet technical and cost requirements.
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, ensuring that products meet their technical specifications with minimal revision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the technical department, leading initiatives on training, tool automation and process optimization.
- Identify opportunities for new business and improve customer satisfaction through technical expertise and consultative problem-solving.
- Be able to provide coverage and support for Team Leaders
Key Competencies:
- Strong understanding of the Design Review Process and Manufacturing Process (no prior façade industry experience required).
- Proficiency in scheduling software and highly skilled in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills and customer service, including telephone and Teams communication.
- Strong time management, task prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CAD software (preferably Inventor) is essential.
- Ability to conduct technical checks and ensure high-quality standards across tasks.
- Root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting skills are a must.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous CAD experience is essential, although no specific background in the manufacturing/façade industry is required.
- A valid visa to work in the UK is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and an ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary offered ranges between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
